Williams inbounded the ball to Sosa, who took a couple of dribbles and fired up an 18-foot jump shot that was far short. Williams rebounded the balland attempted to score at the buzzer, but his shot was no good. Easily the biggest win of Mick Cronin's UC career.

great win... I was really impressed with how the team played and ran the offense today. It will be fun to see the team evolve the rest of the season..Bearcats are gonna be back!
It was put well by the ESPN broadcasters: "The rebuilding of this Cincinnati team started today with this win."
absolutely beautiful....
we've been on the bad end of those types of games, so it feels amazing to be on the winning side of it.
its unreal how this team is improving...well, everyone but adam h.
The difference in this team in the last 7 games is amazing. Watch the difference in attendance at next home game, I think it will be significant.
Really good win. Especially since they were able to dig deep and pull it out in the end. I believe all of those hard fought losses are paying huge dividends. Watching UC games are enjoyable again. We are on a winning streak baby!!
GO UC
Nice job on your first game blog, Bill. One piece of advice - you might want to put the time remaining in each blog header, that was always helpful.
UNDEFEATED IN THE BIG EAST!!!!! GO CATS!!!!
Great, great effort today! You could see that our kids really believed they were going to win. (Gotta backup Warren's words, I guess).
Vaughn was huge late, and Williamson played his best game as a Bearcat!
It has taken the athletes several months to understand that you have to play hard every play. One can only hope that they have learned the lessons of the past several games.
Great win for the team. They looked sloppy at times, committed too many turnovers, Adam H started off the game by missing a gimme, turning it over, and a sloppy foul.
The effort was there for the fourth straight game. By far, way more important than a win over X any day.
What a shocker though. I would hate to be a Card fan driving home right now. 1-0 in the BE.
Hey Bill, you did a great job with all the updates. However, where are all of the postings? I want to see what my other Bearcat fans are saying right away. Nothing on the last four updates. Can't believe it.
bill, you start a blog and uc wins! keep it up!
I have to give credit to Sippin' Mick and the players. They started the second half poorly but got back on track. His coaching has looked much better lately and the players are playing hard and together. And Mick appears more animated and into the games lately on the bench, which makes the viewing more intense and fun.
I really look forward to some hopeful offensive firepower from Gates, Wright and Williams next year.
This is huge. Mick can coach, these young kids do have heart and will win a few games this year and will be better in years to come.
The Louisville game is always our biggest game of the season (X is a mere sideshow). They're good in the league 9-4 now and we beat them at Freedom Hall.
Looks like old times with the Huggs in charge.
Great work, Bill. Thanks.
UC wins! A close game for once goes to the Cats. This is a big win. UC is good enough to be headed MSG this year. It is going to be a grind but the teams defense is much better than it was earlier in the year.
THAT WAS CLUTCH! Thanks for the updates
Hopefully the players have the confindence now that they can play anybody and have a chance to win. This is a huge win in rebuilding the program.
Bill takes over the blog and UC gets a huge win.. go figure
Great game. But they won't always be knocking down threes like they did today. They are going to have to develope a better inside game.
Go Cats
Congrats to UC and their win over Louisville. I watched at my home in Scottsdale, AZ and was as proud as when we beat Ohio State twice in the early '60s. Keep it up guys!
