Junior college combo guard Bobby Maze, who visited UC last weekend and was scheduled to visit Kentucky this weekend, has signed a letter-of-intent with Tennessee, the Associated Press reported today.
"They called me 'the solution' here," Maze told The Knoxville News-Sentinel. "So you do the equation. What better place could I be?"
Isn't this the second player that Mick has recruited recently that has chosen Tennessee over UC BB and him? Seems that the better players aren't avoiding Tennessee because of their "terrible" APR situation. Any guesses who has the better seasons this year and next. Us or APR deprived Tennessee?
ReplyDeleteCheers to Z and her UC-21 puppets! If it weren't for football being on the upswing, we might be a checkers or even a ballet school.
who is lb recruit?
ReplyDeleteMaze's quote was pretty funny. Let me get this straight - a Top 5 team from last year signs a late spring JC combo guard and he is "the solution." Mr. Maze - I have a bridge for sale at a good price....I am holding it especially for you because I think no one could possibly take better care of that bridge than you. I think that it is destiny that you should have this bridge.
ReplyDeleteThe Bearcats have a ton of guards (Vaughn, Wright, Mitchell, Davis, and Dixon) so this is not a big loss. The team has 14 players.
Mick - put that scholarship in your pocket for the next class.
It is time to focus on development of the players already in the program. I think the team is going to do better and better each year. Also, good job on the academics - the improvement there was sorely needed.
Prez,
ReplyDeleteWhat makes you think that basketball is not in the upswing. We don't recruit problem players anymore or academic liabilities. We have a McDAA and a 5 star PF next year along with a solid group of Sophomores.
