Pitt 28, UC 27 - Halftime
With UC trailing by four, Rashad Bishop fired in a 3-point shot just before the end of the first half. Adam H. has six points and four rebounds for UC. Jamual Warren has five rebounds and four assists. Deonta Vaughn has only two points. He has attempted only one shot.

This team's offense is beyond words pathetic and never shows signs of getting better.
And the defense has been lazy, even after Benjamin went out.
The second half could well turn into a disaster at this rate.
Unless something drastic changes, the future appears bleak offensively for the team with many of these same players playing a lot of minutes next year.
Why can't Mick find offensive talent quickly like Kennedy? They are No. 5 in the nation in PPG.
Benjamin will be shooting 3-pointers when he comes back in the second half and I'm sure UC will allow him to have easy ones as they always do for other team's 3-point shooters.
As for Vaughn, he is about as inconsistent from game to game and even half to half as can be, just like the rest of the UC players counted on to score a lot of the team's points next year. The offense remains a concern for next year since these players will be teamed up with Gates/Wright...two more freshmen.
Nice one anon 5:00. Let's see, UC knocked off Louisville, Syracuse, Villanove, and now Pitt and you are complaining about MC? He keeps it up he will be BE COY.
trolls- they won the game. with defense.
The offense will be fine. The offense UC is running now is designed to chew up the shot clock. It's not designed to score 90 points a game. This team doesn't yet have the players to play that way. They're 4-2 in the big east playing the slowdown game. BE HAPPY!
I never thought this team would be 4-2 in the big east, having beat l'ville, villanova, pitt, and syracuse. A very good start to the conf. season.
7:50- I understand they eat up the shot clock but the pure shooting woes cause a bit of concern for next year. I don't know why Kennedy seems to make his teams score lots of points so quickly.
Anon 5:00
Pathetic? Lazy? 4-2 in the Big East. Go watch the little sisters of the SEC.
People like you who keep beating this dead AK horse slay me. What makes you think he would have even taken the job, and if he did and had some success he would probably be outta here quicker than Dumbtonio, then we would be back where we started. Hell, AK's rotten recruiting from 2002-2006 is PART of the reason the cupboard was so bare. The only recruit he brought in who succeeded was Downey. All the rest were bandaid jucos and misfits. The core of the 2006 senior class Andy headcoached was largely recruited by Cronin before he left for UL.
Hmmm, UC's SOS is 13th, and Ole Miss is 100th. Lot easier to be 15-1 when you don't play anybody.
8:14 - yet which team is in VERY prime position to make the Big Dance with a good seed and which isn't? The schedule isn't so much easier to compare 9-9 and 15-2 as equal.
And Kennedy has two freshman making large contributions to the team's No. 5 PPG in the NATION scoring offense.
If his recruiting's so bad, why did he land big scorers so quickly who have contributed to the national ranking?
8:51 Can't appreciate a win. As much as I like(ed) Kennedy, LET IT GO! Ole Miss is doing and will do well (hiccup against Auburn who's RPI is LESS than UC's). But they are 2-2 since entering SEC play after starting 13-0. Granted, losing to TN in Knoxville by 2 points is pretty impressive. But UC is 5-2 since the Jan 1. and they are 4-2 in the BEAST, which is a better conf than the TENNE-SEC is this year. Their RPI has gone from the 200's at the start of the year to #92 now and rising. Remember last year? Four BEAST wins was a pipe dream. We're not out of January and we've eclipsed last year's BEAST win total. Take the good with the bad. .500 ball mid-way through the season with a winning record in league play? I'll take that AND LIKE IT!
8:51: How did Ole Miss do tonight? How many victories against top-25 teams do they have. Go have fun at that board.
woulda/shoulda criticism seems to be all that some posters seem to make.. hugs and andy are gone... probably for the better for both of them.
why even bring this up? hugs was great... but never got uc a nc... as for the uc president.. she made a decision... which is her right... so live with it... seems to me the sports programs are evolving on a national level... which was not the case earlier except for the bb team which seemed to always falter when tournament time came around.
