Vaughn honored

UC guard Deonta Vaughn was named Big East player of the week today. He scored 29 vs. Syracuse and 25 vs. Villanova and ranks second in the league in scoring in conference games only, averaging 22.8 points per game. Vaughn is only the second UC player ever to win the award, joining Eric Hicks, who won it the week of Jan. 9, 2006.

Sweet. Well deserved. I'm STILL wondering how Mick pulled this off. He could be anywhere in the country, and for us Mick to get him at such a late date was a major coup. He already has serious skills. As he gets experience and confidence his ceiling becomes unlimited. Big Fun! Congrats to #5

That's a great honor for Vaughn and the Bearcats! Just look at the names and performances he beat out, pretty impressive!

Let's hope the 'cats continue their paybacks this week and end ND's winning streak in South Bend tomorrow.:)
