Aldridge's eligibility
To clear up any confusion, Aldridge will have next year after fall quarter, plus one more year of eligibiity after that, according to Mick. I believe in a previous post I said he had two-plus years remaining. That was incorrect.

So next year will be his junior year. If Mike Williams gets a 6th year, UC will have Vaughn, Aldrige, and Williams has Juniors, the six current freshman as sophmores, and Cash and Yancy as frosh.
Bill...if he's only a one semester soph, sits out a year (transfer) and plays 2nd semester for UC, why wouldn't he have both a junior and senior year? I thought you had 5 years to play 4 eligible years.
Bill...if Nick has completed the first semester of his sophomore year, sits out a year (transfer), and finishes second semester of his sophomore year, why doesn't he get a junior and senior year? I thought you had five years to complete four years of athletic eligibilty.

Can he practice with the team immediately?
Glad we'er not wasting more than 1 1/2 years scholarship on bench player.
Is this blog still alive and breathing? Or has it been laid to rest with UC BB??
Aw, sad you don't have your own blog, little buddy?

He did get a sophomore year. It just ended in late November/early December. The NCAA considers a part of any season in which you play games to be a season of competition. Since he palyed games this year, this counts as his sophomore season, even though he left in the middle of the season.

Huggy Bear was going to spend 4 year stint of scholarship on him. Apparently he thought he was a good choice...
BH recruiting slacked off the last 2-3 years when he lost his contract rollover and had to recruit harvard players to raise GPA. He couldn't recruit so he forced his ouster on his terms. Daaaah!
