Huggins continued

"I don't know how any team that wins 11 games in this league is not an NCAA Tournament team," Huggins said. "I was at Akron for five years and I know hard it is and how hard those guys work, but the reality is that if it's the 34 best (at-large) teams, put those teams in our league and see how many they win. This has to be the hardest league in the country."

Huggins, at his first Big East Tournament, was impressed by the way the tournament is run and by the interest that it generates here in New York. "This is the way things are supposed to be done," he said.

Of course they are in. That idiot Doug Gotlieb has been on EPSN this week screaming that they shouldn't be in. He is a Huggins hater big time and can now shut up. Of course, they only won today by five so I'm sure he thinks they should play the play in game to be a 16 seed.

Oh and good luck to the Suckcats later tonight. Hopefully they will bow out gracefully and end another miserable season at Clifton.

I dont think Huggins has much to worry about. Joe Lunardi considered his team a lock before the game today. The win will only help.

I think its pretty likely WVU ends up with an 8 or 9 seed though. If thats the case, they wont be going very far. Id rather be an 11 or 12 if I were them...

Gotlieb certainly refuses to gives any Huggins team the benefit of the doubt. DG is right about that....

Maybe Huggins can go get drunk and celebrate with another DUI. What a class act.

Xavier has never been to the Final Four.

As the commentator on the game this afternoon said: "Huggins was run out at Cincinnati because they got tired of winning".

I heard that comment to and it made me laugh.

That comment and the one during the UConn game where Simpkins said they should call a to and run a layup drill. That was horrible.

Ya UC got tired of winning and then losing in the first weekend of the tourney and kids getting arrested and huggins getting arrested.

To All Club Members:

Hope everybody is ready to be glued to their tubes tonight as Super Coach "leads" the guys in another stellar performance.

We just need to be thankful that if nothing else it entertains everyone else, especially the opposing coaches and players.

Doesn't it make us so very proud to be a UC BB fan these days?

Sincerely,

President of the 'We Love Mick No Matter What' Fan Club

I am proud to be a UC fan. I wear my colors with pride. I graduated in '93, the height of Huggins rule. He was good for UC, then he was really bad for UC. A DUI, players being arrested, low graduation rates....not a very positive image for the University.

I would bet the majority of the negative people on these blogs have no clue where Clifton is located.

Sorry CSA, they didn't tell you the whole story. They asked Huggins to drive out but his license was suspended, so he had to run.

Trolls begone, please!
Better yet, start your own blog where there will be no moderating of goofiness/namecalling and you can post 24/7.
People will be lined up to get on and listen to your insights.

The majority of these comments for this particular post are the reasons why Bill and the Enquirer should ban comments from now on. I mean, the guy is trying to supply people with timely info from MSG...and the same, idiotic comments just get made over and over again by people.

What's the point in Bill checking in to see if readers have any legit questions anymore? It's got to be a waste of his time.

I wish Bill would ban comments and only allow legit questions from now on. I am sure there are other message boards where folks could let themselves be heard on....including myself.

Um....everyone hates Mick and this team. But they destroyed Huggs at his house. Huggs deserves to be in the tourney and lose his usual second round game?
