UC 48, DePaul 45 - 7:59 second half

UC has scored the last seven points to go up by three, matching its largest lead of the night. After making 9 of 15 from 3-point range in the first half, DePaul is 1-for-6 in the second. UC isn't shooting bad from long range either, making 5 of 10, even though Vaughn is having an off night.

pathetic losses to providence and now depaul.

i just don't see the coaching or preparedness of this team - I truly believe the Mitchell suspension was a big hurt to the team.

I know that some have defended mick - but the last two home losses against inferior teams; UC has not lost a senior night in 18 years. Last year mick had the longest losing streak in decades.

this is horrible.

Mick still does not have talent. He will have some talent next year. Yes, they will be inexperienced, but at least they will be talented.

Mick cannot coach them to not turn the ball over FOUR times in the last two minutes of the game. Or defend a rebound with 20 seconds left. That is something that the players need to do on their own, which they obviously aren't capable of.

Just like Mick can't force Williamson to dunk at the end of the Providence game. A good player would have dunked that ball (Yancy, Williams, etc).

I hope Mick puts a little vodka in that water bottle. Looks like the Seniors are packed and ready for Panama City. The "salvage" senior class oh yea unforgetable!

Now what kind of excuses are we going to hear for Mick? And from Mick? Four losses in a row. Two at home against very bad teams in Providence and DePaul. The last victory we had was by only 1 point, also at home against weakling South Florida. Be patient though, boys and girls, there's only two more losses to go this season. But don't be a hater and angry at the BOT and Nancy for all of this!

Sincerely,

President of the 'We Love Mick No Matter What' Fan Club

This was a sad, sad home game. I wonder how even to put it in perspective.

The major issues seem to be that it was a game in which UC won the rebounding war, didn't have that many fouls, and didn't really get to blame the defense, because the other team's offense was that bad.

With the above as an overview, it seems that UC absolutely should have won that game.

They couldn't score. They couldn't score in general, and they couldn't score when they needed to.

If Cronin doesn't get some offense onto this team, we're bound for another year of hearing, "the defense didn't do their job; we're not the kind of offense that...yada, yada, yada."

I'd suggest getting some kind of offense at all....how about some alternate scoring threats someplace.

The shot selection at the end was abysmal, and IS a reflection on the coaching.

Sounds like some of even the staunchest Mick fans are starting to question his offensive knowledge. Of course I've been saying it since last year.

How about all you geniuses explain where the offense is going to come from? Do you think Mick can just give Warren a shot? They had open looks, but they don't have the players to knock down the open looks. Mick had just a couple months to find a team, do you think he was going to be able to get all these sharpshooters and 7' players who were just waiting to go to UC?

Have some common sense before posting. It takes time to build a championship team. He is quickly putting the pieces together.

Most of you try to make comments yet you don't even watch the game. I'm guessing most of you weren't at the game last night.
