UC vs. the field

By my count, UC played 14 of its 31 games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament. The Bearcats went 4-10 in those games, with the wins coming over Pitt, Louisville, West Virginia and Villanova. Nine of their 31 games were against teams that received a No. 4 seed or higher.

UC BB did play a few great games this year.

But MC has already started the excuses for next year. Per MC "We are losing alot of experience but we are gaining talent". We will play an easier out of conference schedule. That will surely impress the NCAA selection committee.

What the.... You graduate 4 bench warmer talents and you're losing experience....whatever. Will the excuses and low standards ever stop?

As I watched the NCAA BB selection TV show I was struck how I once had such "HIGH EXPECTATIONS" for UC BB. Where would we be seeded? Who will we play? Will me make it past the 2nd round.

Now we enjoy the euphoria of "HIGH EXCUSES". This 5 year program to turn around a program supposedly starting from scratch is crazy. I and most have higher expectations and do not settle for mediocracy. I'll leave that to the handful of remaining "TRUE UC FANS" !

Interesting stats Bill. I wonder how it compares to some of the other teams' schedule, or even last year's UC team?
