Small crowd
With about three minutes left before tipoff this shapes up as a really small crowd, maybe the smallest of the season. We'll see. For the record, the smallest so far this year was the crowd of 6748 that showed up for the Nov. 24 Fairfield game. By the way, Reds TV color analyst Chris Welsh just stopped by. He attended USF and couldn't resist coming to see them play, even if they are 11-15.

The once-proud UC fan base is completely decimated after the Huggins/Kennedy debacle. A lot of fans are never coming back as long as Nancy Zimpher & Mike Thomas are running the show.
Really? Don't you think it has more to do with the lousy opponent, snow, and single-digit temperatures?
Otherwise how do you explain the near-sellouts against Pitt, Syracuse, UCONN and Villanova? Were Huggins and Kennedy back and all forgiven for those nights?
I don't like the way things went down with Huggs and Andy, but Nancy Zimpher & Mike Thomas have great football and basketball coaches in place. People need to get over the the past because the future is here.
The Shoe was half-empty. Sad to see this once-great arena become just another basketball venue. Used to be sellouts down there all the time - even for lousy games against teams like USF. Not anymore!
Sorry, but the Shoe is a dump. Build a new arena and maybe you'll see sellouts again.
