UC now playing Bradley
Just got the call from Mick Cronin. Forget Virginia or Penn State. Now UC is playing at Bradley on Wednesday night. Bradley is 17-15 and finished in sixth place in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 9-9 record. UC regularly played Bradley when the Bearcats were in the MVC. They lead the series, 19-13. Their last meeting was on Dec. 21, 1981, the famous seven-overtime game that UC won, 75-73, at Bradley.

The thrill builds! What time is the Big Game on Wednesday, Bill?!

Bill,
I guess this is good news for the players, as it allows them to keep playing.
As to the tournament itself, it's hard to get excited about this from a fan's point of view. I see that the CBI requires home teams to put up a $60,000 guarantee -- which understandably several schools have balked at, preferring to play on the road.
That seems excessive to me, but maybe I'm wrong.
How does this arrangement compare to the NIT?
I'm happy for the players, but for now I'll hold on to the confetti.
Does the CBI have a TV deal, because UC doesn't. And why no home game.
What's the full field, we want to start filling out our CBI brakets at the office.
To All Club Members:
Let's all give a huge round of applause. The greatest coach now alive has gotten us into the postseason! It's the new whatever its name is tourney. Isn't everyone as completely excited as I am? This is that new cute, little, petite, sub-losers NIT tournament that Mick has been courting.
Bradley! We actually get to play powerhouse, middle-of-the-pack, MVC, Bradley. And if we pull off the upset, do you know what that means? We can compete in the Missouri Valley Conference. Maybe we should considering playing in the MVC. Who knows, maybe then we would actually have a chance to win the conference tourney and be next year's Coppin State!
See, things are already looking better for UC basketball. And here we all thought that Nancy and the BOT destroyed it. Not as long as our great coach can get us into the postseason!
Sincerely,
President of the 'We Love Mick No Matter What' Fan Club
Hey 6:03, we'll see if your idol makes it past the second round this year with a team he doesn't even get credit for putting together.
Xavier has never made a final four and has only been past the first weekend twice in school history.
5:53 you are wrong. UC has a TV deal through the Big East. The Big East has a TV deal through ESPN. get it right.
watch your whiskey you leprechaun;)
this is still good, as any game with uc playing is a game i am ready to cheer for
Mr. President of the Mick club,
What the freak do you expect him to pull off with the recruiting time he was dealt? Some of you fans are obviously just that becasue you've never played the game or be recruited to know how difficult it is under normal cercumstances. Get a grip on reality...Cronin is doing a good job with the hand he was dealt.
Can't wait to see you back on the wagon in 2 years.
President and driver of the Bearcat bandwagon. "All aboard!"
Anon Thad 9:35 Better to have danced and lost than never danced at all.
I have my ticket for the Band Wagon. When Vaughn is a senior the Cats will be dancing again.
History in the making! UC is the first tri state area school to accept a spot in the CBI Invitational!
I believe Deonta's senior year will be fun for all real UC fans. The guy is a stud!
Just needs a little help & it's coming.
